OFICE
The OFICE laboratory (Office of Cereal Research), also known as L.I.C. (Laboratorio de Investigación Cerealista), was founded in 1947 as the reference laboratory for the analytical control of wheat, flour and other bread cereals.
Over the years, the growing demand for analysis and control services led the laboratory to expand and consolidate new lines of work, specialising in those areas that affect the sectors of:
At all times, it was decided to prioritise specialisation not only in analysis but also in professional, technological and legal advice. As indicated in our Quality Policy.
In November 2003 OFICE moved from its traditional location at 1, Gracia Street in Barcelona to its current premises in Castellgalí (Barcelona), with a surface area of approximately 800m2. This move allowed us to expand the infrastructures, equipment and services available to us, as well as to increase the quality of the services provided, our main objective since the Laboratory was founded in 1947.
OFICE’s objective: to offer the highest quality, reliability, trustworthiness and validity.
Since its foundation in 1947, that has been OFICE’s objective, to maintain the satisfaction and adaptation to the expectations and needs of our customers in the analytical results.
In order to respond to new quality requirements in an increasingly competitive market, and to continue to provide our clients with the guarantee of the services we offer, OFICE has obtained the ISO 9001 certification. This new approach allows the Quality Management Department to implement a solid base that harmonises the needs and interests of the different departments, as well as to evaluate the degree of satisfaction with the services requested.
Also, in order to confirm the technical competence of the OFICE laboratory ENAC accredited testing laboratory with accreditation No. 693/LE1419.
Accreditation represents national and international recognition of the laboratory’s technical competence and is a distinguishing feature, particularly in the analysis of amino acids by liquid chromatographyas it is the first Spanish laboratory to obtain this accreditation. By being accredited, we ensure that the results issued are valid, not only nationally, but also internationally. A certificate which, according to the accreditation body itself, is a passport for the product linked to the analytical report, as it “reduces the technical obstacles associated with the export of products for marketing in other countries”.
The objective of continuous improvement is the main commitment of the Quality Assurance Unit, aware as it is that quality is dynamic, what satisfies the customer today may not do so tomorrow.
